Abstract/Description

In the ever-evolving world of public health, leaders and practitioners are constantly searching for new approaches to engage communities, foster well-being, and spark lasting change. While data, policy innovation, and technology often steal the spotlight, a powerful and underutilized force has begun to emerge—creative expression. At ProVention Health Foundation, we believe the intersection of art and public health holds transformative potential for building connected, healthier communities.

Art—whether visual, performance, music, digital creation, or storytelling—is far more than just a diversion. It is a universal language, capable of bridging divides and making complex information accessible and memorable. Throughout history, communities have turned to art to process trauma, foster hope, and express collective identity. Today, as public health faces challenges like chronic disease, social isolation, and health inequity, it’s time to recognize art as a strategic tool for transformation.
