“Collective Roots: Innerscapes of Healing” is a group exhibition curated by Ineke Vera De Soete in collaboration with PLEK Brussels.
It brings together a constellation of artists whose practices illuminate the healing power of art, connection, and nature through a cross-disciplinary lens of health and well-being.

In Collective Roots: Innerscapes of Healing, personal and universal elements intertwine: the tension between fragility and strength, the presence of the body, memory echoes through nature, and the tactile language of craft. Together, they shape a space for contemplation — one where transformation is quietly unfolding.

The exhibition Collective Roots: Innerscapes of Healing provides a space for mutual recognition between artist and viewer in a care-centred environment. By offering art a platform within Plek, it becomes both a companion and a catalyst: it gives visual form to inner processes that often remain unspoken, and supports emotional resonance for visitors, patients and care professionals.

The collective nature of the exhibition reflects the understanding that healing is rarely a solitary journey. It is nourished by environment, professional support, and the quiet power of (self)expression as well as recognition and shared experience. Each artwork becomes a moment of reflection and invites dialogue between art and care, between inner and outer landscapes and shared vulnerability. Together, the artists form an expressive and inspiring network, where art is not just a response to healing, but part of the healing process itself.

The exhibition calls for slowing down and meeting one another: art as a bridge between the personal and the collective path toward healing.
