Best Practices and Community Guidelines
As an open platform, the Neuroarts Resource Center is committed to freedom of expression and reflects a range of perspectives. All of the content has been created and/or submitted by users. Everyone is welcome to use the Neuroarts Resource Center as long as they follow simple guidelines to keep the platform safe and open. This applies to all content. “Content” includes, but is not limited to Library, Directory, Professional Opportunities, Events, Funding, and Community Bulletin Board uploads and posts.
These best practices and community guidelines, along with the Terms of Service, define the criteria for using the Neuroarts Resource Center.
The primary goals of the Neuroarts Resource Center are to:
- Grow, sustain, and elevate an interdisciplinary global, online community that welcomes all those who are interested in neuroarts and provides opportunities for them to interact.
- Create a community where researchers, practitioners, artists, advocates, community leaders, clinicians, educators, policymakers, and experts in diverse fields may come together to learn, share, and connect.
- Provide a friendly, non-judgmental environment that will call upon the knowledge and expertise of all who are interested in neuroarts to share research and facilitate connection and collaboration.
The Neuroarts Resource Center is designed to bring together and grow the neuroarts field by sharing knowledge in the form of ideas, evidence, information, inspirations, and various forms of commentary, aimed at improving the health and wellbeing of individuals, communities, and societies.
The Neuroarts Resource Center reflects the NeuroArts Blueprint’s core principles. The Resource Center models the attitudes and behaviors that promote flourishing – including kindness, respect, sincerity, honesty and truthfulness, generosity and reciprocity, open-mindedness, compassion, and tolerance.
The NRC encourages diversity of thought, constructive, respectful debate, and challenges to commonly held beliefs. The success of the Resource Center is contingent on integrity and trust within its rich community, with each contributor abiding by the guidelines described here. The NRC supports many ways of knowing and welcomes diverse perspectives.
The Neuroarts Resource Center will publish only content related to neuroarts that advances the aims of improving the health and wellbeing of individuals, communities, and societies. Any discourse and commentary should be likewise relevant.
Submitted content reflects the opinions of the community and does not necessarily reflect the opinions of the Neuroarts Resource Center or the NeuroArts Blueprint.
