Holistic Workplace Strategy - Environmental Psychologist Project Team Member

Roche & Genentech are seeking a partner who can integrate cutting-edge research in neuroscience, neuroaesthetics, and neuroinclusion to create a new workplace strategy that not only enables great work but will also optimize the human experience for our diverse teams across our portfolio.
For over 15 years, Roche and Genentech have been leaders in activity-based workplace strategies, successfully creating environments that support our business goals. Following the significant changes in the new hybrid model, it is critical to evolve our strategy to better address the diverse needs of our people across research and development, production, commercial, and administrative functions.
Our existing workplace strategies are geared towards the highly-flexible office worker persona; this new workplace strategy will fundamentally reorient our focus, starting with the scientific end-user. We are seeking a partner who can integrate cutting-edge research in neuroscience, neuroaesthetics, and neuroinclusion to create workplaces that not only enable work but also optimize the human experience for our diverse teams across our portfolio. We believe that a psychology-focused approach will be key to pioneering a new kind of workplace that truly supports cognitive function and well-being.
Project Output: A new holistic workplace strategy for Roche Genentech to address the profound changes in how we work post-pandemic. A more dynamic, human centric and responsive approach to better support our place-based work.
Project Goals:
- Create best-in-class workplaces that support Roche’s 10-year Ambitions and business outcomes for all functions across laboratory, production and office based organizations.
- To build a holistic strategy that responds to unique psychological and work practice needs of our people, with a framework that can be adapted effectively from our scientific users to others across the business.
- Define an inclusive engagement approach and deliver a workplace product that is both efficient and fiscally responsible.
- Focus will be in the office workplace for laboratory, production and administrative users. The scope does not include the technical labs or the production floors.
Key project timeline:
The project team seeks to begin this work on 15 September 2025 and to complete this scope of work by the end of February 2026. Please email Brandon DeWitt at dewittd@gene.com for more information.
