PhD in Art Therapy Research & Practice at Florida State University

The FSU Art Therapy Program provides graduates with a Ph. D. in Art Education with a major in Art Therapy. The Ph. D. program encourages students to make contributions to knowledge related to art therapy in scholarly and academic communities.

D. in Art Education with a major in Art Therapy Research and Practice is to encourage students to make significant contributions to the body of knowledge related to art therapy. This degree is more than just coursework, it is focused on research and theory with the goal of becoming an expert in the field. Students are supported in their efforts to investigate and advance understanding related innovative applications of art therapy, therapeutic processes and outcomes in art therapy, and other research topics based on individual student interests.
