I am an interdisciplinary – newly ambidextrous artist, originally from Norwood, Missouri who has lived and worked on both the East and West coast.
My work has been featured in solo exhibits and group shows, events, festivals, and publications. I am a dual citizen of the US and the Cherokee Nation, currently living in Springfield, Missouri, and hold degrees in Studio Art and Communications.

Several years ago I discovered and began applying the work of Dr. Lucia Capacchione engaging the non-dominant hand in personal creative expression and self-discovery. As I applied her techniques, I began to see new images, ideas, and ways of creating emerge that felt more genuine and complete than before.

Then in January 2022, I decided to alter my creative practice by making drawings and paintings ONLY using my untrained left hand. This process felt awkward, uncertain, and scary – I was making bolder choices with composition, color and presentation that seemed more childlike, however, I pressed on in this new direction for an entire year to see where it would lead.

My art is the result of working with the materials using both hands without a preconceived intention of how the final piece will look. The resulting imagery is energetic, playful and bounds full speed for the borders of the surface usually ending with a poetic title influenced by nature and all arrived at from my new, exploratory perspective to the work. I encourage you as the viewer to explore and discover different subject matter hiding in plain site in this work – leading you to arrive with your own interpretation and theme, at a different destination.
