BAMT Conference 2026: Music Therapy in a Changing Landscape
This two-day online conference brings together music therapists and people with lived experience to explore how practice is evolving across sectors. Through presentations, workshops, and dialogue, participants will share research, experiences, and ideas. Selected session recordings will be available for up to 30 days afterward.
The British Association for Music Therapy’s 2026 conference, Music Therapy in a Changing Landscape, takes place online on November 21–22, 2026. It invites the music therapy community to reflect on the challenges and opportunities shaping the profession and share how practice is evolving across sectors.
The conference creates an accessible space for open dialogue among new, experienced, and international practitioners, alongside people with lived experience. Participants will exchange ideas, research, and personal perspectives through keynotes, presentations, roundtables, workshops, world cafés, and creative sessions.
Themes include identity and belonging, ethics, trauma, mental health, dementia care, work with children and families, and end-of-life care. Sessions also consider collaboration, training and supervision, research evidence, and the possibilities raised by technology and artificial intelligence.
Recordings of selected presentations will be available on demand for up to 30 days after the event, where presenters have permitted recording. The programme identifies which sessions will be available. Discounted registration rates are offered to BAMT members.
