On August 26th at 1PM ET, join the Society for Neuroscience’s Neuronline for a webinar on careers in neuroarts. Hosted by Susan Magsamen, Executive Director of the International Arts + Mind Lab at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and co-director of the NeuroArts Blueprint Initiative, this session will explore the diverse career pathways emerging at the intersection of neuroscience, the arts, health, and research. Hear from professionals working across disciplines as they share their experiences, insights, and perspectives on building careers in this growing field.

Speakers include Christina Hugenschmidt, the Rebecca E. Shaw Professor and Director of the Memory Counseling Program, Associate Professor of Gerontology and Geriatric Medicine at Wake Forest School of Medicine, and co-director of the WFU Neuroarts Lab; Maryrose Flanigan, Executive Director of the Alliance for the Arts in Research Universities (a2ru); Patricia Izbicki, an affiliate off the Stiles-Nicholson Brain Institute, Assistant Professor at the Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine and Engagement Manager at Mirada Life Sciences; and Richard Sima, a neuroscientist turned award-winning science journalist who writes the Brain Matters column at The Washington Post about mental health and the neuroscience of everyday life.
