BA Art Therapy at University of Tampa

Students learn how to use the creation of art to resolve emotional conflicts and foster self-awareness and personal growth through education, rehabilitation and psychotherapy. Art therapy incorporates psychology, art and therapeutic techniques to provide a creative alternative to conventional therapies.
Students learn art applications, techniques and assessments to connect with people who struggle with verbalizing their feelings to help them cope in daily functioning. They engage in experiential learning through an internship program, which offers the opportunity to work with children or adults in a variety of service sites.
