International Shadowing Programme for Visual Artists (Italy)

Who

This opportunity is designed for emerging visual artists from EU and Creative Europe countries who work at the intersection of art, culture, health, community engagement, and social well-being. Applicants should have professional experience and an interest in participatory, socially engaged artistic practice.

What

The International Shadowing Programme is a two-week immersive professional development and international exchange centered on participatory visual arts. Selected artists will shadow experienced practitioners while contributing to "Threads of the Social Fabric," a collaborative community art initiative that explores how visual art can foster social inclusion, collective well-being, and cultural welfare. Participants will observe workshops, collaborate with local artists and residents, engage in artistic research, and help create a large-scale textile installation that will remain as a permanent public artwork. Travel, accommodation, and meals are covered, with travel reimbursement available for eligible participants. (CultureAndHealth Platform)

  • Selection results: Expected August 4, 2026 (CultureAndHealth Platform)
