Grounded in Community Music Therapy and a trauma-informed framework, the Senior Music Therapist co-creates participatory music experiences alongside community partners, including health centers and peer recovery programs.

  • Partnership Engagement: Concrete examples of co-creating programs with partners.
  • Student Supervision: Experience mentoring or directing interns in a clinical setting.
  • Program Impact: How success and tangible outcomes are measured for participants.

Key Responsibilities

  • Community Impact: Co-create culturally responsive, trauma-informed programs with community health and harm-reduction partners to support mental health and social connection.
  • Practice-Based Evidence: Integrate robust program evaluation to track engagement, outcomes, and program effectiveness.
  • Workforce Development: Lead the music therapy internship program, providing high-quality supervision, mentorship, and clinical evaluation for students. 

Qualifications

  • Board-Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC) status and a Master’s degree in Music Therapy.
  • 5–7 years of experience in mental health settings utilizing trauma-informed frameworks.
  • Experience with participatory, context-based Community Music Therapy approaches.
  • Demonstrated success in group facilitation, program evaluation, and student internship supervision.
  • Reliable transportation for effective travel to off-site partner locations around greater Boston.
