I'm Amber Epperson, founder of The Scented Vine®, a scent consultancy where story, science, and brand strategy meet. Through my proprietary Story + Science + Scent™ methodology, I help companies, creatives, and communities find the scent that tells their story, translating the neuroscience of olfaction into branded experiences, sensory activations, and genuine human connection.

Scent has always been the language I couldn't quite name, until neuroscience gave me the vocabulary.

My work lives at the intersection of olfactory science, sensory branding, and community well-being. Through The Scented Vine®, I develop custom signature scents and immersive sensory experiences grounded in how the brain encodes memory, emotion, and identity through smell.

My active projects include a Mobile Scent Studio we are building to operate as a roaming research engine, making our pilot research study on new pathways for olfactory brain access more accessible to the communities who need it most; a research-informed approach to neurological anchoring through olfactory compounds; and partnerships with counseling and wellness organizations exploring scent as a therapeutic and stabilizing tool.

I am drawn to neuroarts because it names what practitioners like me have been doing intuitively, and builds the scientific scaffolding to do it better. I hope to contribute practitioner-grounded insight on olfaction, sensory branding, and community-scale applications of the arts-neuroscience connection. And I am equally here to learn from researchers, clinicians, and fellow creatives who are expanding what we understand about how art shapes the brain and the body.

Community is my motivation. I show up to build, bridge, and create experiences that make people feel seen, and I would love to connect with others doing the same work from different angles.
