The Arts Education Partnership (AEP) was founded in 1995 by two federal agencies, the National Endowment for the Arts and U.S. Department of Education. After spending the first 20 years of its life at the Council of Chief State School Officers, AEP moved to its current home within Education Commission of the States in 2015.
