Cara Bean
Hello! I am obsessed with drawing and use doodling as a way to relax myself and others.
I also draw comics to communicate, educate, and tell stories.
Cara Bean is a cartoonist, art educator, and the author of Here I Am, I Am Me: An Illustrated Guide to Mental Health. Her work was recently recognized by the Children’s Book Council with a 2025 Favorites Award in both the Middle Grade and Teacher Favorites categories, and was shortlisted for the Graphic Medicine International Comics Awards. Cara leads interactive creativity workshops for people of all ages, encouraging exploration through drawing. She finds joy in watching complex ideas take shape from the simple act of doodling.
