Hello, my name is Christopher D. Sims. I am an artists of various skills, talents, and abilities. Most of my work involves writing, performance art, producing or creating music, and stage art. I combine literary and performance art with social justice issues and the like to combat injustices - racial, economic, and environmental. I travel and present workshops connecting with leaders nationally.

Christopher D. Sims is a poet, spoken word artist, recording artist, activist, and a educator. Over the last twenty years Christopher has traveled to cities such as New York, Memphis, Chicago, Baltimore, San Diego, DC, and Manchester (NH) because of his literary and performance talents ot unviersal audiences. Steeped in the work of Frederick Douglass, Martin Luther King, Jr., Fannie Lou Hamer, as well as Harriet Tubman, he combines his artistic gifts with social justice activism to bring about change in the world. A fellow of the Intercultural Leadership Institute, Christopher has learned even more how powerful we are when we work together. His co-hort of almost 30 culture bearers and artists have backgrounds as Native Hawaiians, Indigenous people, African Americans, Asian Pacific Islanders, Latina/o people, and people of European descent.

Christopher is the author of Universal Citizen, wrote and composed Hip-Hop Renaissance, and is the author of the art of being black: a black man's truth in poems.
