Donna Betts

Donna Betts, PhD, MA, MLitt, ATR-BC, FSAScot, is a Board Certified art therapist and a Society of Antiquaries of Scotland Fellow. Driven by a passion for the arts, cultural heritage and the historic environment, Dr. Betts promotes applications of the arts in improving health, wellbeing, and quality of life through various advisory roles and collaborative projects.
Dr. Betts holds a PhD in Art Education and Art Therapy from Florida State University (FSU), a Master of Arts in Art Therapy degree from George Washington University (GW), a Master of Letters in Scottish Heritage degree from the University of Aberdeen, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design University. Through various endeavours, Dr. Betts continues her commitment to collaboration and increasing access to the arts and social prescribing.
