After graduating college in Philadelphia, I served in the US Peace Corps in suthern Africa for two years. After two years in Europe, I returned to the US and became a nurse-midwife ten work in Arizona fir 2 years in Tucson for two years and then returne to PA where I worked from 1983 till 2018. I was diagnosed with Parkinson's Diesase(PD) in 2018.

We arrived in Phoenix in 2019 and have begun learning about my disease. I rediscovered my interst in singing after joining a choir for persons with PD to help strengthen my voice and motivate me to keep active.

Interests

This year read two books that incresed my interest in Music: Dan Levitin's "I heard there was a secert chord".--Music as Medicine and Renee Fleming's "Mind and Music". They both asserted the important of music as medicine.

I have been interested in neuroscience well before my diagnosis. I am fascinated by the brain and how it works to create our world. Other interest include reading non-fiction, doing cross-word puzzles and writing.
