The University of Chicago Medicine's Healing Arts Program, developed as an extension of the UCM's commitment to
excellence in patient care, research and education, offers
artistic and aesthetic opportunities for its patients, their
families and friends, and UCM staff.
The program’s mission is to enrich their lives, assist and
support the healing process, and reduce the stress and
anxiety associated with healthcare environments.
Programs & Activities
UCM Healing Arts Program includes:
• Yearly rotating art exhibits in several venues on the
medical center campus including traveling exhibitions,
community and museum collaborations, local artists shows
• Live musical performances in the adult hospital and
outpatient clinics
• Curated art collections
• Annual juried staff art exhibit
• Live artist events and talks
