Home Ground Lab

Home Ground Lab is a non-profit initiative that partners with local leaders in refugee communities to transform spaces into beautiful places. We fund community-led projects, train practitioners, and amplify stories showing how beauty in shelter creates dignity, hope, and a renewed sense of home, even in displacement.
Because displacement is rising faster and lasting longer than solutions, we partner with refugee communities to transform their spaces through creative projects, training, and storytelling, in order to strengthen local leadership, improve housing, and make beauty a cornerstone of how the world responds to displacement.
Programs & Activities
Home Ground Lab exists to:
1. Equip local communities, strengthening the leadership, skills, and confidence of displaced and local communities to drive change.
2. Improve housing and shelter, transforming physical spaces through beauty and design, creating environments of dignity, safety, and belonging.
3. Change systems such that beauty and aesthetic wellbeing are embedded into humanitarian, housing, and recovery systems globally.
