I'm the founder and CEO of Spiritune, a therapeutic music application that harnesses principles of music therapy and neuroscience to address mental health across broad populations and conditions. I'm devoted to making music a mainstream modality to help people reliably address mental health and deeper human needs in a culturally relevant and accessible way.
Hi there, I'm the Founder and CEO of Spiritune, a therapeutic music app that harnesses the power of music to support mental health and well-being.
While my background is in journalism and strategic communication, I spent a decade navigating the high-stress world of NYC finance, where I realized the stress and anxiety I was experiencing wasn’t unique — it was part of a much larger, global mental health challenge. That realization, combined with my personal connection to sound and health — shaped by growing up with a mother who experienced severe hearing loss and a sister who studied music therapy — led me to launch Spiritune. Spiritune brings together neuroscience, music therapy, musicians and technology to create a modern, evidence-based approach to mental wellness. Our goal is to help people manage stress, regulate emotions, enhance focus and generally lead happier, healthier lives through the power of sound.
I am also a DJ, which I love doing as a side hobby that ignites my joy and love for dancing, community and generally reaffirms my love of shifting the vibe of an environment and people through music.
I'm also honored to serve on the Board of Directors of The Institute for Music and Neurologic Function and serve on the Executive Council for The Yale Child Study Center.
In general, advancing the intersection of music, neuroscience, and health is a core part of my personal and professional mission. At Spiritune, my main initiatives are forming partnerships that expand and scale our use cases for Spiritune's therapeutic music application and expanding the populations we serve. I'm also dedicated to continuing research that explores the potential in music in therapeutic and/or performance related settings.
Through the NeuroArts community, I would like to continue to refine and grow Spiritune’s scientific foundation and contribute my experiences in scaling and deploying music‑based solutions (whether through speaking opportunities, networking or private conversations). Together, the goal is to elevate the field of neuroarts and solidify music’s role as a mainstream wellness modality.
Interests
Some areas I’m currently focused on:
- Embedding Spiritune into clinical settings or general populations in need of mental health support
- Advancing research on music’s role in cognitive performance and emotional regulation, in collaboration with academic partners
- Exploring partnerships intended to bring scalable, holistic music-based modalities to underserved populations to support mental health (employee mental health, clinical settings, etc)
- event collaborations or speaking opportunities
As a founder, mother, and DJ, I’m passionate about bridging rigorous science with real-life applications, and I’m always interested to collaborate with creatives, clinicians, and researchers who are pushing the neuroarts space forward.
