I am interested in connecting with health/medical providers, caregivers, educators, and musicians who would like to collaborate in the vision of disrupting the mental health crisis by revolutionizing mental health care through cultural change that impacts music consumption and creation.

Judith Ann Pinkerton, LPMT, MT-BC, is a visionary leader in music therapy and the Founder and CEO of Music4Life®. With decades of experience as a licensed, certified music therapist, recording artist, author, and educator, she has pioneered innovative approaches that blend classical training, clinical expertise, and cutting-edge technology to transform lives through music.
Judith’s journey into music therapy began in 1986, when her solo violin music replaced post-surgery medication for her husband. Her belief in music’s healing power deepened in 2023 during her father’s remarkable ICU recovery, which his physician described as “scientifically unexplainable.” Over the decades Judith has impacted thousands through clinical practice, education, and advocacy, directing clinics, supervising internships, and leading large-scale initiatives in healthcare and community wellness.
A trailblazer, Judith made history in 2011 as the first professional to receive a state-issued music therapy license in the United States (Nevada). She also secured landmark legislative funding for music therapy, including over $415,000 in appropriations to expand access statewide. As a career violinist with the American Federation of Musicians, she has performed internationally and shared the stage with world-renowned artists such as Andrea Bocelli and Metallica.
Through Music4Life®, Judith has built a national brand grounded in three pillars: original evidence-based programs, scalable digital platforms, and a nonprofit foundation advancing outreach and research for marginalized communities. Her patented music app Key2MEE™ and her companion book Thriving Through Adversity (2024) are reshaping mental health support by equipping providers, educators, musicians and caregivers with DIY prescriptive music tools.
Judith’s leadership and innovation have earned her numerous honors, including the inaugural Aflac & Academy of Country Music Lifting Lives Honor (2018), the American Music Therapy Association’s Changemaker Award (2012), and the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce Community Achievement Award in Arts & Entertainment (2001). A TEDxUNLV speaker (Music Powers Potential), she continues to publish accredited curricula, scholarly articles, and therapeutic recordings such as Stress Brake and MEE™ in the Key of Peace.
Widely recognized for her contributions to music, health, and policy, Judith has served more than 30,000 clients, students, and providers. She leads a research team focused on publishing case studies with longitudinal outcomes and coordinating efforts to implement an IRB-approved multi-site hospital study.
As a TEDx speaker, Judith Pinkerton is known for bridging the worlds of symphonies, healthcare organizations, and technology to strengthen wellbeing across the lifespan. Her legacy lies in advancing music therapy as an essential health service while empowering individuals to harness music as a lifelong tool for healing and resilience.
