Krysti Keener

I am the Founder/ Executive Director of The Neuro: Community, Artist Residency & Mentorship. In 2014 I suffered a Traumatic Brain Injury and Post Concussion Syndrome. Prior to 2014 I was a Managing Director at Guggenheim Partners, a Corporate Officer at Walmart, leading and developing businesses in the retail apparel world. I hold dual MBA's from Columbia & UC Berkeley, pursuing an MA at CIIS.
I founded The Neuro: Community, Artist Residency & Mentorship based on a need I initially saw but didn't understand. My TBI changed my life dramatically. My art practice developed as my brain healed. It was equal parts natural and foreign. Five years after my accident, I made my first piece of art and was accepted into a well-known artist residency program. Two years after my residency, and nine years after my accident, I went on a self-healing journey. Everything reconnected and connected for me.
The mission of The Neuro: Community, Artist Residency & Mentorship is: To support the flourishing of neuro-disrupted individuals by providing services that connect them to community, art, and nature, with an emphasis on integrating these aspects into their lives.
Education and Coursework: I hold a dual MBA from Columbia University and the University of California, Berkeley. I am currently in the joint MA in East-West Psychology and MFA program at California Institute of Integral Studies. Since 2023, I have completed the Hakomi Somatic Coaching Certification through Emobdywise, ACT Leadership Coaching Program with Brown University, the Sacred Vibes Spiritual Herbalism Apprenticeship, the MIT Neuroscience for Business Course, and the Boulder Hypnotherapy program with special coursework in Trauma & PTSD. I have completed the Mycology Psychology Microdose Practitioner Program, and the Plant Spirit School Integration Coaching Certification.
