Leah Kurta

Leah works in psychology, design and emerging technology, exploring how arts, culture and technology shapes how we feel, connect and belong.
She is Research Director at Kinda Studios, a neuroaesthetics research lab where she leads projects using mobile brain-body technologies, including EEG and biometrics, to understand embodied responses to cultural and digital experiences. Her work translates neuroscience and psychology insight into strategy for creative teams, designers and innovation leaders.
Leah is also Co-founder of Ida XR Studio, a community-led organisation supporting women, non-binary and trans people to build sustainable careers in emerging technology. Across both roles, she brings together equitable design, critical research and applied neuroscience to examine how technology influences behaviour, belonging and power.
She has worked with organisations including the Royal Shakespeare Company, LEGO and Virgin, Samsung and Mars, and speaks internationally on neuroaesthetics, equitable innovation and the social impact of emerging technologies.
