Michael R. Spicher, PhD, is a philosopher, speaker, and consultant who helps organizations and leaders rethink the role of beauty—not as surface-level decoration, but as a strategic force. His work explores aesthetics, taste, digital fashion, and the lived experience of design, showing how aesthetic values shape culture, products, and perception.

Michael works with companies and individuals to integrate aesthetic thinking into brand development, spatial design, leadership practices, and decision-making. He also offers philosophical counseling for leaders who want greater clarity, purpose, and engagement in their work.

A frequent speaker across industries including beauty, fashion, architecture, and education, Michael makes philosophical insights both accessible and actionable. He is a contributing writer for BeautyMatter and co-editor of the first academic book on digital fashion, published by Bloomsbury. His forthcoming book examines how beauty influences business through product, place, and person.

Based in Boston, Michael teaches at the Massachusetts College of Art and Design and the Boston Architectural College. He also founded the Aesthetics Research Lab to explore how beauty moves ideas and industries forward.
