MindClay is a web app delivering evidence-based creative arts-based activities to support well-being. Grounded in research, MindClay brings accessible, arts-based wellness to institutions, communities, and individuals.

MindClay is a digital wellness platform that makes creative healing accessible to all. Grounded in the science of art therapy, music therapy, and expressive arts, our web app offers short, evidence-based activities—like drawing, music, writing, and movement—to support emotional health. Our approach centers accessibility, cultural relevance, and personal fit, offering creative experiences that support emotional regulation, resilience, and self-expression. A recent publication in Leonardo, titled "MindClay: From Interactive Installations to a Digital Platform for Therapeutic Creative Arts," details the convergence of art, science, and technology that led to the platform’s development and therapeutic design.

Programs & Activities

MindClay’s therapeutic content includes brief, creative activities grounded in published research on the health benefits of the arts. Activities are categorized by expressive modality and designed for both mobile on-the-go or meditative, at-home experiences —ideal for digital prescriptions for well-being. Examples of our activities include mindful drawing with “Spinning Sands”, writing to lower stress with “Blackout Poetry,” or self-compassion and movement with “Healing Echoes.”
MindClay supports pilot studies, institutional wellness programs, and community rollouts. Our platform is uniquely suited for public health initiatives seeking accessible, engaging, and low-cost tools to address stress, burnout, and emotional well-being across diverse populations. We welcome partnerships with researchers, clinicians, educators, and health system leaders to advance the impact of neuroarts through scalable technology.
