Mihyun Lee

Mihyun Lee is a PhD student in Somatic Psychology. She studied Korean Dance, Choreography, Somatic Psychology, and Laban/Bartenieff Movement Analysis. She established a movement-oriented psychotherapy approach, Kinesiopsychotherapy, and somatic movement group therapy, Relationship and Movement, for adults with relational trauma.
Mihyun Lee studied Korean Dance, Choreography, Somatic Psychology, and Laban/Bartenieff Movement Analysis. Her professional dance practice, which began in 1992, has shaped her understanding of the primal nature of the body and its expression. She promotes psychological well-being through movement practice. She established a movement-oriented psychotherapy approach, Kinesiopsychotherapy, and somatic movement group therapy, Relationship and Movement, for adults with relational trauma.
As a psychotherapist, she specializes in early childhood mental health, relational/intergenerational trauma, immigration, adoption, relationship dynamics, and dyadic therapy. As a researcher, she is seeking a collaboration opportunity to research Laban Movement Analysis to support relational trauma recovery.
