Music4Pain Research Network

The Music4Pain Research Network, funded by the National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health and the Office of the Director of the National Institutes of Health, is one of four research networks aimed at advancing mechanistic understanding of the impact of music-based interventions.

Our Mission
The Music4Pain Research Network’s mission is to transform the mechanistic understanding of music for pain reduction by creating a roadmap for advancing mechanistic knowledge, facilitating multidisciplinary collaborations, and supporting innovative research.

Our Vision
Our vision is to be the leading resource for research and innovation in the area of music for pain reduction, with the ultimate goal of advancing treatment development and enhancing the clinical uptake of evidence-based music interventions for the management of pain.
