As the Founder & Head of Product at ArtherapyHQ, I'm Nalani Kopp, and I'm deeply passionate about democratizing access to trusted healing through the powerful intersection of creativity, care, and technology. My work at ArtherapyHQ, established in 2019, centers on an AI-powered marketplace that connects clients with highly compatible, verified art and holistic therapists. We aim to empower individuals and communities to heal through creativity while uplifting diverse practitioners and making trusted care discoverable globally.
My interest in neuroarts stems from seeing firsthand how creative and culturally-rooted care can profoundly impact well-being, especially when traditional referral systems fall short. At ArtherapyHQ, our projects focus on educating prospective clients about art therapy's benefits, tailoring recommendations to unique needs, and building a safe network of verified providers. We're also committed to reducing stigma around mental health and fostering a movement beyond just a marketplace.
Through the neuroarts community, I hope to collaborate with like-minded individuals and organizations to further explore the therapeutic potential of the arts and enhance our insights-based matching capabilities. I'm particularly interested in expanding content curation to include underrepresented voices and topics, aligning with ArtherapyHQ's goal to appeal to a broader audience. My aim is to contribute to a deeper understanding of how neuroarts can be integrated into accessible, personalized healing journeys, and to gain insights that help ArtherapyHQ continue revolutionizing access to art and holistic therapy via emerging technologies.
Interests
My interests are deeply rooted in the arts and humanities, encompassing both creative practice and academic exploration. I am passionate about modern dance, finding joy and expression in movement. Live music is a significant interest, and I also cultivate my musical side by playing the piano. My foundational training is in classical voice, which has instilled a profound appreciation for musicality and discipline.
Academically, my background as a former English Literature and Interdisciplinary Humanities Professor at CCNY has shaped my analytical thinking and my understanding of diverse cultural narratives. This informs my current work, where I'm actively engaged in DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) strategy and unconscious bias training. I believe in fostering inclusive environments, and my work in this area is a direct extension of my humanities background, aiming to bridge gaps and create more equitable spaces.
