Patty Meglio

I am a Connecticut native artist with more than twenty-five years’ experience specializing in the painting of landscapes, seascapes, and still life in oil. I have seven years experience as an art instructor for both painting and drawing at art centers and adult education centers and have a consistent following. I also put out a free monthly art newsletter to students and friends.
I have always been fascinated with how art affects a person's disposition. I've seen first hand how it transforms a person's behavior, from nervous and self-doubting person to a person with self confidence and increased self esteem. I often work with retired people, both women and men, and have experienced the joy of the accomplishment whether it is a painting or drawing.
My students are mostly adults of different ages. I do my best to engage the class in conversation and to share their achievements both inside and outside the classroom. Once in a class setting, they tend to relax and the improvement in their artwork becomes apparent as time goes by.
