Piper Hutson, EdD, is an adjunct professor and Arts and Health Specialist focusing on neurodiversity, cognitive neuroscience, and the transformative potential of art in healing. Piper explores the intersections of brain networks, sensory experiences, and creative practices to foster access, collaborating with state arts councils, museums, and healthcare organizations.

I am passionate about exploring the intersection of neurodiversity, art, and health, focusing on how cultural spaces can promote well-being and accessibility. As the Arts and Health Specialist for the Missouri Arts Council, I dedicate my work to advancing community arts initiatives including neurodivergent individuals, veterans, and Creative aging communities. With over 30 peer-reviewed articles published, my research spans topics such as NeuroHealth, digital inclusivity, cognitive network integration, and adaptive learning styles. I am also proud to co-author two books published by Palgrave Macmillan: Inclusive Smart Museums: Engaging Neurodiverse Audiences and Enhancing Cultural Heritage and Sensemaking and Neuroaesthetics: Neuroarts and the Spectrum of Neurodiverse Experiences.
