Hello, I'm Purvi Shah, I have a masters in Communications Design from Pratt Institute, NYC. After working and teaching in the design and multimedia industry for over a decade, I founded Kids & Art Foundation which is a legacy for my son Amaey who passed away in 2011 after fighting cancer for 6 years of his 9 years life. Creative placemaking and arts in health are in the fabric of everything I do.

Purvi Shah is the founder of PlayRx.life, a wellness platform dedicated to enhancing adult well-being through play, creativity, and somatic healing. She is a certified yoga teacher and sound healing practitioner, integrating breathwork, movement, and sound into her workshops to support emotional resilience and holistic health.
With over 15 years of leadership as the former CEO of the Kids & Art Foundation, Purvi brought arts-based healing to children and families impacted by cancer. In 2024, she transitioned to focus more deeply on adult well-being and grief support through integrative mind-body practices.
Before founding Kids & Art, Purvi was a Creative Director at various multimedia firms and honed her graphic design skills at Pratt Institute in New York. Purvi currently serves on the board of NOAH (National Organization for Arts in Health) and is passionate about arts in health, playful aging, creative placemaking, and social prescribing. Her work bridges creativity, science, and ancient healing traditions to help people reconnect with themselves, especially during times of transition and loss.
