I am a nature-centered artist who creates abstract biophilic photographs of plants, flowers, trees, etc. I'm also an ANFT-certified nature therapy guide. I believe my self-portrait and poetry project was channeled from nature to shine lights on consumerism, aging, feminism, and climate change.

My primary interests are in biophilic design, abstract art, and forest bathing. I have a long early career in marine biology then health and now a practicing artist. I am fascinated by the impact of nature on the brain and body, and also the impact of abstract art on the brain and body. I'm a lifelong meditator with high interest in spirituality and science as collaborators not opponents.

My favorite life work is I AM: For the Love of Nature, a self-portrait and poetry series, created in my sixties. I was instructed by nature repeatedly during a 2 month camping tour of the western USA to "stop, disrobe, and make a photograph." I did not know why, but I listened, and later wrote poems to each photograph. Nature had a lot to say about consumerism, aging, desecration, and feminism.

My current art is also a channeled collaboration with nature, abstract biophilic art photography. I use a technique that allows me to paint with light, capturing a single, unique image in camera, with no digital manipulation. My collaborators are the plants, flowers, grasses, and trees. I believe they choose to reveal their inner vibrational state to us, what the human eye cannot see.

Being a lifelong nature lover, I am thrilled to also be an ANFT-certified nature and forest therapy guide, aka a forest bathing guide. Please consider including forest bathing in your group events and conferences. 🌿
