Interdisciplinary researcher working at the intersection of neuroscience, psychology, hypnosis, suggestion, mental health, and the performing arts. My work explores how psychological and behavioural interventions can influence cognition, artistic performance, communication, and wellbeing.

I am an interdisciplinary researcher and audiovisual professional working at the intersection of neuroscience, psychology, mental health, hypnosis, suggestion, and the performing arts.

My academic background includes an MSc in Psychology and Neuroscience of Mental Health from King’s College London, postgraduate training in Neuroscience and Behaviour, and a background in Cinema. I am currently conducting research in Health Care Sciences at Fluminense Federal University, focusing on nonpharmacological interventions for anxiety, therapeutic communication, and the role of suggestion in interactions between healthcare professionals and patients. I also remain involved in ongoing research at King’s College London.

My professional experience in film and television has involved extensive work with actors, directors, and creative teams, which led to my interest in the neuroscience of artistic performance and the performing arts.

My recent experimental research investigated hypnosis as a tool for theatrical performance, examining its effects on character creation, interpretation, immersion, and memory in actors. This work was published in the International Journal of Clinical and Experimental Hypnosis.

My broader research interests include Neuroarts, hypnosis and suggestion, cognition, altered attentional states, artistic performance, therapeutic communication, placebo and nocebo mechanisms, and nonpharmacological approaches to mental health.

I am particularly interested in interdisciplinary collaborations connecting neuroscience with artistic practice and in developing projects examining how psychological and behavioural interventions may influence cognition, emotion, artistic performance, and health.
